Lonna Kelly

I’m a lens-based storyteller. My favorite subjects are loud and enthusiastic street scenes like the Women’s March on NYC, everyday life, and long-running collaborative projects based on community participation.

During the pandemic year, I spent much time in Lakeside Park. I find the company of trees and nature comforting and stress relieving. A solo tree was always my first stop before beginning a run or walk, and it made a massive year-long photo project. The project spans various skyscapes, from threatening to beautifully blue.

Synergy was a project born of the pandemic. Every month I invited friends, colleagues, and collaborators to respond to my suggested topic. This 12-month’s community based project, and the pandemic tree, can be viewed on the website LonnaKellyStudio.com.

Stop by to see my work and eight other featured artists… here are a few great things about shopping at a local gallery during the holidays – it’s one of a kind, supports the local economy, no supply chain issues!

I am a content provider for non-profits, small businesses, and artists, a social media writer and website designer who has always made photography a part of my job.

Combining promotion and photography for 12 years, I directed the ArtEast Open Studio Tour in Dutchess County, NY. I increased our digital footprint with a redesigned website, e-newsletters, blog posts, and support for tourism and calendar listings and increased Facebook traffic. In 2017 ArtEast Open Studios received the Dutchess County Arts in Public Places Award.
